So What Is A "Revolution"...?
There are various ways of defining this term, and according to different sources, each of the terms have something in common; a constant factor in which contributes to the overall concept. Revolutions have shaped the modern world, and over time, these uprising conflicts of ideas have caused battles that rank of high importance among the historic timeline of our world. As a historical process, the term “revolution” refers to a movement, often violent, to overthrow an old regime and effect complete change in the basic institutions of society. |
What will we be focusing on?
This website includes descriptions and explanations of each of the 3 revolutions that are featured in this project: The French, Russian, and Egyptian Revolutions. Over time, among the different nations, we have researched the long term factors leading up to each of the revolutions: social, economic, political, and military. Wealth plays a large role as well, when looking deeper into the precursors leading up to the historic uprisings. Unemployment rates relating to the divided poverty levels are also key points to touch upon when looking into the start of it all. More importantly, the government is a key factor in which is responsible for most of what the revolutions are known for. How was their nation controlled? Who was responsible for the leadership in which may have caused a revolution? |

Based on Suzanne Collins' brilliant and enlightening original novel "The Hunger Games", this story is full of courage, determination, fear, and awakening. After District twelve's very own victors, Katniss and Peeta, arrive home safely after winning the Games, President Snow is concerned. Both risked their lives for each other, and so changed the name of the Games forever. They changed the sanity of people, and their actions against the control of the Capitol. The 75th annual Hunger Games will be one to remember. All of the past victors who have won the games will fight for their lives; however, the determination of Katniss Everdeen will cause a revolution the Capitol, and especially President Snow will never forget. The will of the people, altogether, is stronger than ever. This is the time for the districts to overcome that of the Capitol.

This film explores the idea of Futuristic Revolutions, and how society reacts to the control on limited freedom. How will we react as a world? This can relate to even some of the historic revolutions featured on this site.
